You decide to threaten those spineless leaders of the other parties of your coalition government by telling all that you know. You feel that all the parties have benefited from the illegal payments, so how come you're the only one taking the heat?

Achille Occhetto

Your main coalition alliance, the Christian Democrats even had the nerve to urge you to waive your immunity. And others such as Achille Occhetto, who leads the renamed communists had also expressed his concerns. "Yeah right!" You think to yourself. "They're all just worried that I might pull them down with me!"

Things are heating up now and you're starting to feel it. So far, 99 of your fellow politicians and businessmen have been arrested - some of whom are your close associates - in connection with the Milan scandal alone. The magistrates have asked for the lifting of the immunity of 164 deputies and 78 senators on charges ranging from corruption, illegal party financing, and to connections with the Mafia. This is like almost a quarter of the 630-member parliament. This is getting more serious as each day goes by. The big names are falling like flies.

Seems like there's really nothing much you can do now, is there?
